I’d really like to start and build up a strong body of published work, but I am unsure as to how.
How can I get writing (anything, really) published?
Do you know of any online publications?
Any print organisations that take submissions?

The Sidney or Melbourne newspaper should have an op-ed section that accepts freelance writing. If, however, you lack the experience try small newspapers, even weeklies. As far as web sites most lack creditability.
