You will lose your drive if you are a bit too ambitious in your fitness goals as you will end up having inadequate time for the whole workout. Whereas if your targets are too modest, you will start doubting the point of all your hard work to follow the program. Therefore it is always good to set a moderate target and follow the routine in order to have a fruitful fitness program.
