I live near a beautiful park and, every day, I see groups of individuals enjoying themselves with what has become a favorite recreation here in my neighborhood — the Frisbee. This seeming craze has given me the idea to do a bit of my own analysis on this glorious game. Believe it or not it has been quite fascinating.

The Frisbee, as we all identify, is the most familiar name for those speedy discs or flying saucers. Frisbees are most generally made from plastic and a built in a variety of sizes the most common of which are between 8 and 10 inches.

These are fashioned to fly through the air quite well when tossed with a nice flick of the hand in a way that gives it nice rotation in the air. Playing with a Frisbee is like playing catch with a rubber ball, although Frisbees are much more fun.

There is a large selection of different types and styles of Frisbees that you can buy from both online merchants as well as regular stores. You can also get discs designed for the game of disc golf. These are made with a bit more density and have a smaller size than your regular Frisbee as the needs are a bit different for them than just your average Frisbee.

Everyone has seen the great fun that can be had tossing a Frisbee for your dog, well with the dogs mouths in mind manufacturers of Frisbee discs have developed Frisbees that are made of a more pliable material so that they not only hold up better under the teeth of your dog, they also do not harm your dogs mouth. With this came the next evolution of the game which brought the Frisbee catching dogs into the limelight as they were allowed to compete against other dogs to show off their Frisbee catching prowess.

There are also now ring-like discs that are similar to Saturn’s rings and these are known as Aerobies and they normally soar farther than the regular Frisbee. The latest Frisbee incarnation takes the form a lit flying disc which is growing more and more popular for evening and night time play. It’s called a flashlight disc and players can enjoy playing with them even when the sun goes down.

Doing a little bit of research will bring into light that there is a wide variety of different game that utilize the famous and utterly fun Frisbee. It is really amazing the intuitiveness of those who truly have a passion for a game and wish to expand on it.
